Privacy Policy
Relay for Teams ("Relay", "we", "us") is operated by ECP1 LLC. This policy explains what information we collect through this website and the Relay apps (iPhone, Android, Mac and Windows), how we use it, and your choices. You can reach us at [email protected].
Who this applies to
Relay accounts are created and managed by an organization's own administrator. If you use Relay through your employer, your employer decides how Relay is used in its workspace, including whether calls are recorded and how long content is kept. This policy covers what we collect and do as the operator of the service.
Information we collect
- Account information: name, contact details and role, as provided by your organization's administrator.
- Content you send: chat messages, photos, videos, files and voice notes, and automatic transcriptions of voice notes.
- Calls: call metadata (who called whom and when), call history, and, where your organization has enabled it, recordings and transcripts. Relay shows an on-screen banner while a call is being recorded.
- Device and usage information: technical information needed to deliver messages and notifications reliably, such as device push-notification tokens, app version and error reports.
- Website forms: if you contact us or use the SMS consent form, we collect the details you enter (name, email, company, team size, message, mobile phone number), the time of your submission, the page you submitted from, your IP address and browser information.
Text message (SMS) information
If you give SMS consent on our SMS Consent page, we store your name, mobile number, which type of messages you agreed to (operational and/or marketing), the exact consent wording shown to you and its version, the date and time, the page you used, your IP address and browser information. We keep a record of any opt-out and maintain a do-not-text list so we do not message you after you opt out.
We do not share mobile opt-in data or SMS consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging, when it launches, may be delivered through a messaging service provider and wireless carriers. They handle your number only to deliver messages for us and may not use it for their own marketing.
How we use information
We use information to operate the messaging and calling service for your organization: delivering messages and calls, producing transcripts, providing search and summaries, keeping searchable history, sending notifications, giving administrators account tools, keeping the service secure, fixing problems, and replying to your requests. We do not sell your information and we do not use your messages, calls or files to show advertising.
Who can see your information
Your messages, calls and files are visible to the people and groups you communicate with inside your organization's Relay workspace and to your organization's administrators as part of their normal administrative access, for example reviewing recorded calls where recording is enabled.
Service providers
We use service providers to run Relay, such as cloud hosting and database services (for example Supabase and Cloudflare), real-time call infrastructure (for example Agora), speech-to-text and AI services used for transcription, search and summaries (for example OpenAI), and push-notification delivery. They process information for us to provide the service. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect rights and safety. We do not sell or rent personal information.
Retention
Messages, files, recordings and transcripts are kept as configured by your organization. Website form submissions and SMS consent and opt-out records are kept for as long as needed to run the service and to prove consent and honor opt-outs.
Security
We use measures intended to protect information in transit and at rest, and we limit access to stored records. No system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Your choices
- To stop text messages, reply STOP to any text or use the form on our SMS page.
- To ask to see, correct or delete information we hold about you from this website, email [email protected]. For content in a workplace account, contact your organization's Relay administrator.
Children
Relay is a business tool and is not directed to children.
Changes
If this policy changes we will post the new version here with a new "Last updated" date.
